Must-watch #4: Just Mercy

In August 2021, on our Facebook page, we published a series highlighting perspective-altering movies and TV shows we highly recommend. This is the fourth post from that series.

Just Mercy

Just Mercy is a film based on the true story of lawyer Bryan Stephenson who, after graduating from Harvard Law School, moved to Alabama to defend wrongly convicted death row inmates. The film follows Stephenson’s work on the case of Walter McMillan, wrongly convicted in 1987 of the murder of an 18-year-old woman. The film also explores the stories of several of McMillan’s fellow death row prisoners.

“I always thought that those placed on death row were there because of an airtight conviction” our team member said. “This film immensely changed that perception for me.”
