Agender Pride Day

Almost a year ago, one of our members came out as agender. Through their journey they have taken on labels they didn’t feel comfortable with at first, such as non-binary and transgender. There is a common feeling among AFAB (assigned female at birth) people who are non-binary and/or trans masculine, where they don’t feel they’ve suffered enough to take on the title of transgender. This is what our member was first feeling. But when you’re learning, growing, and expanding, you often find comfort and joy in things that once felt uncomfortable. And that’s what also happened to our member.

If you are not the gender you were assigned at birth, you are transgender enough. You’re valid in that label (if you want it).
